ACADEMICS:
His interest in academics is equally wide ranging. His
degree includes studies
in Philosophy, Ethics, Education,
English Literature, Religions and Psychology.
His certifications include TESOL from Trinity College, Clinical Pastoral Education
(CPE) from the Anglican
Church, and Christian Education from Kenmore College.
Passionate about education he is currently
completing his masters
in Linguistics, to be followed by a doctorate in
philosophy.
HISTORY:
Mr.
Williamson has spent many years working as an educator
and an entertainer
in various countries such as Korea, America,
England, Canada, and Japan.
During high school, and later theological college, his
teachers told him
that he should not attempt university, claiming he did
not have the ability to
be an academic. Many years later, while working in
England, he met an
educational psychologist, who discovered that Mr.
Williamson is dyslexic.
Upon learning the truth, Mr. Williamson immediately
entered university. Using
various methods such as Mind Mapping and techniques
from Nero Linguistic
Programming, Mr. Williamson achieved amazing success.
He was awarded a
First Class Honors Degree. (A First Class Honors Degree, at the
time, was
awarded to only the top 3% of British students)
After graduating, Mr. Williamson went to Japan as part
of
the JET program.
He stayed for three years teaching in the public school
system, both high
school and elementary. He also trained teachers, and
wrote education articles.
Moving to Korea in 2001, he worked in a
private language school, first as a
teacher, later as Academic
Director. After training several national speech
champions, he was approached
with the idea of starting an education company.
Mr. Williamson agreed,
and with great support from Ms. Lee, KNL was born.
THE FUTURE:
When the certification process is completed, in late 2009,
Mr. Williamson will be
opening a business college located in Brisbane,
Queensland. The college will be
permitted to sponsor long-term study visas for
international students.
However, Mr. Williamson considers Korea to be his
second home and intends on
remaining here for many years to come. When the college
opens he will split his
time between teaching, both in Korea and Australia.
In 2010, Mr. Williamson will be launching a limited
partnership, investment
company, buying shares and Australian real estate.
Mr. Williamson bases his
stock market investment strategy on the Warren Buffet method of investing.
